Upcoming musician Gloria Bugie has expressed concern about the Ugandan music industry, saying something must be done to save it.

The singer explained that the industry is declining. Politics and other factors are having a detrimental effect.

She has called upon fellow artists to "wake up," release good music, and work for the betterment of the industry, or else it will continue to decline.

"Our industry is declining; politics and other things are dragging us down. We need to wake up and do better for the industry because it continues to decline every day," she explained in an interview with a local television station.

Gloria Bugie says it will take the combined responsibility of all music stakeholders to save the industry and restore it to its former prominence.
