This is the month of love. Lovers around the world will be celebrating Valentine's Day on the 14th of this month, and many are already preparing.
Lately, the day is seen by many as an exchange of pleasantries, with flowers playing a major role.
However, Carol Nantongo believes money should be the priority on Valentine's Day. She explained that there is nothing particularly good about flowers; money is what matters.
Nantongo explained that money can buy her tangible and valuable things, unlike flowers, which will die within a few days.
"I am interested in cash, not flowers. I am interested in money because I can buy something tangible with it instead of useless flowers. I can buy cement and know it will contribute to the construction of a house, but flowers—what use are they?" she explained in an interview with a local television station.
Nantongo also warned that she will throw flowers back at anyone who brings them to her.
