Musician Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy quit the Blu 3 music group in the year 2008. The group had gained ground and influence in the music industry of Uganda and Africa at large.
When she quit, many people suggested it was the end of her music career. However, it was just the start of a new star who has since emerged as the "King herself".
Cindy now says she has no regrets about quitting the Blu 3 group. The UMA President says she would not have been as successful as she is today if she had remained in the group.
"Everything that has happened has led us to where we are now, and somehow, it’s all worth it. If I had not left Blu3, this part of me would never have come out and I don't regret anything. Blu3 had its own style, and I had to find my own. Growing into who I am today, and honing my craft would not have been possible,” she explained in a discussion with a local YouTuber.
Cindy however remains grateful to Steve Jean for showing her the way into the music industry and for the guidance and belief in her career.
