In August 2024, musician Eddy Kenzo was appointed a presidential advisor on creatives.
His appointment received both praise and criticism. Many believed the music industry would benefit from his appointment, while critics argued he was unworthy of the position and could not achieve anything tangible for the industry.
The presidential advisor remained focused on his job.
Kenzo, however, has cried out loud, revealing that it is not easy for him to meet the President.
"It's not easy to meet with the President. Please let me perform for him," he cried out as he was chased off stage.
Eddy Kenzo is not the first presidential advisor to reveal how difficult it is to meet the President. Butcha Man, Catherine Kusasira, and Full Figure have made similar complaints in the past.
Kenzo's statement has since sparked controversy online, with many challenging him on how he can advise the President if meetings are so difficult to arrange.
His appointment also appears insignificant to the music industry if he cannot meet the President and chart a way forward for artists' concerns and needs.
