Musician Kalifah Aganaga contested in the recently held Kawempe North by-elections, which saw Elias Nalukoola emerge as the winner.

The singer now says he is not giving up on his political ambitions and will be coming back to the voters in the 2026 general elections.

Kalifah explained that he wants to represent his people: the poor, the ghetto residents, and all those who continue to struggle for the transfer of power.

"I will contest again in the coming elections. I want to ably represent the poor and the ghetto people. We are in a struggle for change, and I am not giving up," he explained in an interview with a local television station.

Kalifah Aganaga, who represented the FDC party, says he has much belief in his leaders to give him the party ticket again.

The struggling musician says he is also not giving up on his music career.
