Musician Jose Chameleone returned to the country on Saturday after over four months in the United States of America where he has been receiving treatment.

Speaking about his health, Chameleone confirmed he has been battling pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas.

He revealed his pancreas had degenerated to the point where it was not producing enough enzymes to break down food.

The singer revealed the condition is caused by many factors and is not only limited to alcohol, as alleged.

“There are a number of factors, including stress, DNA, and lack of sleep. Unfortunately, people concentrated only on the alcohol, but other things like not having enough rest and not eating well can be contributing factors,” he explained.

The singer also revealed he is not fully recovered and will be traveling to the United States again next month for a meeting with his medical team.

“I am not fully recovered. I came back home because I was homesick and needed to be here, but I will return to the U.S. around May 2nd for a follow-up review,” he said.

Chameleone thanked President Yoweri Museveni for the financial support. He did the same to Juliet Zawedde, who has been taking care of him at his home alongside Weasel.
