Jakolo Albert, popularly known as Alberto J, was born on May 1, 1991, in Tororo District, Uganda. As an Alur by tribe, I grew up surrounded by the rich musical heritage of my community.

Growing up, music was always a big part of my life. I come from a musical family, and I was exposed to various genres of music from a young age. I started singing and writing songs while still in school, and I knew from then that music was my passion.

My music career took off in 2016 when I released my debut singles and videos, "Unaniumiza" and "Pokirok". I wrote these songs myself, and they were produced by Didi. These songs showcased my unique blend of traditional Ugandan music with modern styles, and they earned me a loyal fan base.

As an artist, I pride myself on my versatility. I seamlessly blend Afrobeat, Dancehall, Ragga, and Hip-Hop genres to create a unique sound that is both authentic and innovative. My music features catchy melodies, thought-provoking lyrics, and infectious rhythms that keep my fans dancing.

However, my profession as a Civil Engineer took center stage, and I had to put my music career on hold. But the passion never faded!

This year, 2024, I made a triumphant return to music with the release of my brand-new single, "Zipo Byerin". Produced by Renix Pattern and written by myself, this song marks a fresh chapter in my musical journey.

Throughout my career, I have been honored with numerous awards and nominations for my contributions to Ugandan music. While these accolades are humbling, my greatest reward is the love and support of my fans.

When I'm not making music, I'm a devoted family man and a proud advocate for social justice and community development. I believe that music has the power to inspire and transform, and I strive to use my platform to make a positive impact on my community.
