Am a Ugandan, born 25-sept-1993 at Mengo Hospital by the Late Kyalimpa Florence and Late Dr. Mayombwe Joseph Kato who worked at KCC hospital as a Doctor. My Real names are, Mayombwe Patrick Wanny and nick name that everyone knows best is Paddy.
Am 23years of Age now and I began my music career in my primary level at Alpha &Omega junior school located in Busabala, najjanakumbi,as a music perfect in 2002, I went forward to join Shimoni Demostration in 2003 where i joined the Band Team that time headed by Mr. SSewungu Joseph. After the death of my mum, I left Shimoni Demostration school by then and joined Wobulenzi public school where i finished my primary seven and joined Butanza college, for my senior one in 2007, i straightly joined the school choir and also gotta a chance to lead the sabbath music selection of the entire school from 2007-2013.
During that time, i got my first chance to record the school choir songs in Bwaise, I learnt a lot, from our school choir Music lead Mr.Kinene Jerry on how to write and compose music. On addition to that, i loved the way and Music of Mr. Sylver Kyangulayi and i remember one day at school, i offered a special item on a sabbath Day "Tondenka" which was Mr. Sylver Kyangulayi's hit song those years, I went forward and told my friends that one day, am gonna be the next Mr Sylver Kyangulayi in the music industry of Uganda. I love him, and his music as well, he inspired me to hustle hard, practice on perfecting my voice and finally, I decided to fly to South Africa and study Music Production and Songwritng at UNISA university. When i arrived in South Africa, I began working as am studying my course of Music till 2014, where i met Tanny Tenny beats and Kush Carter the producers that work hand in hand with me in my music production and career at 4yard Records. I joined 4yard Records as a singer-songwriter who firstly constrated on writing songs like Your Joy by South African Donald, I pray by Tanny Tenny, Together we win by FafD from Zimbabwe, Kurere by Natty ft Julie till 2015, where i decided to begin singing as well as exposing my talent to the world, I firstly composed and wrote "Want you Back" by me ft Maritinoh, a Hip Hop massive track that has gotta continuous AirPlay in South Africa, I again wrote she's my wife also a callabo with Zimbabwian Dancewall artist FafD, I composed,wrote and Produced "African Girl" a song that has made history in my entire music career in South Africa, it's played all South African Radio stations and also Magic 100fm in Uganda, and currently nominated in East Rand Search for Talent Awards and it has brought me to the Finals of the Awards, it's a song that i wrote basing on how a person can feel when he or she loves someone and for sure, it's Afo Pop in style, which makes it fit and push everyone's emotions forwards it. That's not the end of me, I still want to write more songs to Ugandan artists, I have a lot of projects with me and i believe Ugandans will feel proud if they listen to my style of composing music and writing. I give my full respect to the entire Ugandan Music industry, and i would love to work with different Musicians in Uganda for the best of our Industry. Legends like Bebe cool, Mr. Sylver Kyangulayi, Kato Lubwama, Bobi wine, The Late Paul Kafero, Basuude, Miss Juliana Kanyomozi and more others, this is my special thanks to you, our music has inspired alot of people and expect more other talents that are raising now and then.
Am planning to do some big collaborations with Ugandan musicians that i won't mention names and some others to work on music projects for them as well(Writing for Them). Athen Lyre is smooth and professional songwriter in his styling of music, with 5years of experience in both production and songwriting, I promise to introduce my style of music and my Lyre music ent(Studio) as a company am set to open up very soon that will always give support and promotion to all talented upcoming Ugandan artists around the World.
