Woniala Simon a.k.a Simon Baines is a Ugandan recording artist born on 7th july. His music genre is afro beat,zouk and dancehall. Simon Baines attended Kiwafu primary school in Entebbe,Kiira College Butiki and Kyambogo College School for his secondary education. He then pursued a diploma in civil engineering at International University of East Africa. Because music,dance and drama was compulsory for senior one,two and three students in kiira college butiki,Simon Baines participated actively in MDD at school and that is when he discovered his talent in music. He recorded his first song “njakusilisa’’ from urban aksent studios in ntinda 2013, he recorded his second song ‘’mama uganda’’ from power records with producer Rinex. In 2014 he teamed up with a promoter called ‘’ambassador wa fire base.’’ They worked together for a very short time and then parted ways, Baines claimed he was never given the time and attention he needed from the promoter as he was also working with queen Bella at the same time. He then went solo and in 2016 he released his third song ‘’miss Uganda.’’ His third single enjoyed massive airplay and it was loved by many people and since then Simon Baines has never looked back….
