Before Ckristu BC also known, as Mbabazi Akram (biological names), born July 11th 1991, is a Ugandan Hip-hop artiste, Record Producer, a Songwriter and a Graphics Designer.
His journey as an artiste started way back in 2008 were he was involved in various Rap Battles under Platinum Entertainment.
At 17 years of age, he won the Hip-hop canvas 2009 challenge. He then recorded a song on the project under Platinum Entertainment, a hip-hop based record label in Uganda. During his stay at the label, he claims to have learnt a lot at that time since the label possessed one of the greatest rapper known as GNL Zamba who influenced him to learn a lot of things about hip-hop and featured in his videos (Koi Koi and Kikankane).
Platinum Entertainment was like an academy to him because it is where he learnt most about hip-hop with the help of Shadrack Kuteesa the C.E.O
In 2010, the Hip-hop canvas project was back with stiff competition.
He was the 1st runner up in the 2010 challenge, it was one of his greatest time in his career, as he got a deal to record 4 tracks on the hip-hop canvas album out of the 12 tracks including “Dungu Dungu”, “Guma Masajja”, “Akaalo Kaffe” and “Abakadde Na Bato’ under Platinum Entertainment. Under the same album, He recorded tracks with the likes of Keko, Don Mc, Qwela Band etc.
In 2013, He co-founded Uganda Lyricist Lounge, a hip hop show that boosted the Ugandan Hip hop industry through providing platforms and outreaches for different hip hop communities. The show aired every month at National Theatre and included Guest artist appearances from The Mith, GNL Zamba, Lady Slyke etc.
It was through this activity that he and his partners founded a rap group/Label called
T.L.T (The Lyricist Team)
In October 2016, he released his 1st single under TLT called “Tomba Wala”.
The song features Him (BC), Q-reaus, B-Trabol, and Jungle.
In January 2017, He released his 2nd single “Up n Down” featuring His Producer Imon
Before Ckristu is working on his 1st solo album and it’s expected to drop in 2018.
