Born on 25th Feb 1993 in Bujumbura,Burundi.
Moved to Uganda at the age of 9.

Started writing rap and battling at 14 after being inspired by The Game's "One Blood"
Officially started doing music in November 2010.

Won the Klarity Competition organised by the Klarity Trio in May 2011.

He released his debut mixtape,online for free download, in December 2012, and it received a lot of positive reviews.

Benny Black has worked with many talented artists and producers,such as Enygma,Ruyonga,Tucker HD,Benezeri,The Guudfellas,Lyrikal Proof,Young Nick,Code,The Ginsu,Rugged Made,Angel(Rw),Darkecy(Rw),Mike Kayihura(Rw), Stonetown Chase,J Pac,JT, Koz n Effekt, Play 01 and many more.However, some of these projects are yet to be released

He is currently working on his debut album, titled," Different Shades Of Black".
