Denis Wamala is a 24 year old Ugandan born poet who begun poetry at a tender age of 11. Most of his poems have been oral in nature and presented to family, friends, school assemblies as informal entertainment .

At Makerere University he met poets in the Lantern Meet of Poets, who helped him to discover himself fully and develop the art of poetry. He currently majors in Spoken Poetry. He has recorded a no of Poems such as WE CAN MAKE IT, OBUFUMBO, which are tackling current social issues.

In December 2015 , Wamala was signed by Fantasies Music distributor, Makombo Music Parade and his two poems released with the help of popular kampala studio SWANGZ AVENUE.
