Dr Billy lo, born Garyaija Isaac Magyezi on 2nd April 1995 in Uganda. He is an Afro beat, reggae and RnB musician. His other stage names include Brown star, Billy lo, dr Billy lo, or simply Billy (sometimes spelled as Billy star). He is one of the most popular Ugandan musicians of the 21st century and enjoys strong popularity in many districts throughout Uganda. Dr Billy lo sings in Runyankole, Luganda, and English. Several of his songs have yielded popular catchphrases, including Mpereza, Omuntu Wishokye, Hellen, Tube Barungi, Ebizibu Tibyomwe, Nibibasika and Belise, among many others. Dr billy lo is a son of Magyezi Benon and Adrine Magyezi from Katunga Butanda Ihunga Kajara Ntungamo.

Musical career
Dr Billy lo began his career in early 2015 as an upcoming artist in Ntungamo district western Uganda while studying at Kyamate Secondary School Ntungamo. He started his music record label ELITE MUSIC EMPIRE. He enjoyed strong success with one of his first singles, "Belise", Obonaire, He also collaborated with fellow Western Ugandan artists like Ray G, Selecta Medotex, Rab J, Mat Henry, Gen Geeon Rasta Charze and many others.
Dr Billy lo’s musical style is a combination of Afro beat, Ugandan folk music, RnB, central African rumba, zouk and reggae. His first album, Ebizibu Tibyomwe, was released in 2016. In 2018 he had released six more songs, including Tube barungi, Nibibasika, Hellen, Omuntu Wishokye, and Tinye Nagyiresire, Omwishiki Wangye ft Mr Vybs, Love Eyasooka ft Inno Green, and Ninyendaho. Dr Billy lo has done a great impact on developing Western Uganda music. In his first three years, he had produced two music albums with the best afro beat Western Uganda song of the year “Omuntu Wishokye 2017”, best inspiration western Uganda song of the year “Tube Barungi 2017” best afro beat love song “Hellen” 2018, best western Uganda upcoming artist of the year 2017 at 22years.
Other activities
Dr billy lo started a videography company under brand name BROWN STAR FILMS in Ntungamo dealing with all kinds of functions, parties and music Videos. Dr Billy lo is a radio presenter and TV personality in western Uganda. He started his presentation career on radio Ankole in Ntungamo district where he also gained popularity.
Family and personal life
Dr Billy lo is not yet married, Dr Billy lo was born in Ntungamo district and his parents are Mr Magyezi Benon and Mrs Atwebembeire Adrine Magyezi. Dr Billy lo is an easy boy who is said to have prevented himself from artist wrangles/fights and hatred. Several artists that have started abusive words to him have totally to receive his feed back as he says “we should not hate/fight each other because we have limited time in this world”.
Dr Billy lo is a protestant by religion and was baptized in church. He likes to pray to God, enjoys company with friends and never ignores the people he grew with no matter the distance, richness or fame. Most growing youth in western Uganda are inspired by Dr Billy lo music and way of behavior.
