Born by His purpose, Living for His purpose – from the Watoto Church Choir along with service in a host of other Ministries, Ethel Ahura is an award winning female gospel artiste and the latest sensation in the Ugandan Gospel music industry. 

Ethel was born in the urban suburbs of Kampala as a middle child among a family of seven children. Many of the siblings continue to serve in different Christian ministry roles both locally and internationally majorly in music and evangelism.

Coupled with joining the Watoto Church Choir in 2016, Ethel’s love for Gospel Music has since burst out beyond her heart, to the wider public. 

Working with celebrated music producers such Beats Records and Pinnan production, Ethel in 2016 debuted with two singles – Highway and Bintade. Her great talent captured the attention of renowned Getreal records which released under their label her latest singles "Ndikuwaki" in 2017 and "Muguno Omwaka" in 2018. Ethel was nominated and won a VIGA Award as the 'Rising Female Gospel Artiste of the year'. She recently released a new song titled "Yo Love" featuring Morgan Isaac who is another popular gospel artiste and music producer.

Ethel has performs at several concerts, churches, functions, wedding ceremonies and continues to do so.

Larger than music, She is a wife -married to Paul Ahura Kaseregenyi, a mother, counsellor, mentor, entrepreneur and a career lady practicing Human Resource Management.

Ethel studied from Buganda Road Primary School, Maryhill High School, Mengo Senior School and Makerere University. 

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Social Administration and a Master of Human Resource Management degree from Makerere University, her goal in life is to inspire humanity, heal broken hearts and make life on earth as pleasurable as it will be in heaven!
