While in school, GZZAD was inspired by the Caribbean sounds Jamaica in particular looking at artists like Busy Signal, Alkaline etc. Apass and Rabadaba locally inspired GZZAD and because he used to always sing, freestyle, and mime during their leisure time link-ups, some of his friends considered him as a noise maker (“Totulekanila nawe mwana!” …they used to say.) though others picked interest and motivated him to start professionally doing music as a career. At age of 19 years, GZZAD composed and recorded his first song “MEDITATION” and later “DO ME” with producer Emavil Danz at Jam Records.

GZZAD has worked with professional creators like: Don Meddy (Elgon Phix), Emavil Danz (Jam Records), Sylus Clouds (Wicked Music Ent), and so many others as far as music industry is concerned.
