(King Joe) has enjoyed tremendous success on Dancehall music charts. He is a highly versatile dancehall reggae artiste who performs four different genres of music. A Pass grew up in Hoima, where he was raised by his Uncle. The vocal talents of King Joe have been noted since his humble beginnings. King Joe was inspired to become a musician by the songs of artists like Bob Marley and Bebecool he used to listen at. However, it was in High School that his love for music was developed and nurtured. He recorded his first song “Gukaaye” at the age of 22, and his next song “Ani alureeta” at the age of 22.  Since then he has never turned back and has been quietly recording and archiving his music.
