Born in 1992 at Busia (Eastern Uganda), Kushi Winnie is a dynamic, born again gospel artist currently based in the city of Arua (North Western region).
A professional journalist and a graduate of Uganda Christian University, she started early grade studies at Christ the King and Arua Hill primary before joining Muni Girls and later Hilton High school Mukono where she completed and sat for U.A.C.E.
Kushi majored in Photo journalism. She has worked with Voice of Life FM 100.9 and Arua One FM where she anchored news. Currently she takes on some free Lance assignments besides the music ministry she is devouted to developing to greater heights by the grace of God.
Kushi actively ventured into gospel music in 2018 and that same year her hit song "Destiny Changer" was voted the Best West Nile song of the year. She has gone ahead to release more than 10 songs including tracks like "Jesus my friend" and the newly released afro-zouk banger "Sufficient grace." Her style is dynamic, ranging from slow tunes to danceable afro-beat.
Her fan base cuts across all ages and is growing by leaps and bounds rightly stamping her as one of the most talented Gospel artists from West Nile region.
A focused,cheerful go-getter, Kushi is currently working on a number of projects and looks forward to releasing a number of videos before the end of 2020.
KushiMusic is currently signed to Simba Sounds, a gospel lable house headquartered in the city of Arua,Uganda.
