Maria Hellen Agwe, more popularly known as Maria. A is a Ugandan artist that is established as one of the best artist in northern Uganda, which is the biggest music market in Uganda after Kampala.

She started her music carrier in 2008 while at school in the capital Kampala, in the male dominated industry, she started singing to empower women who also make the largest percentage of her followers countrywide.

 Her continence music has received air plays countrywide because of her abilities to sing in more than one language. Her lyrical content rotates around creating awareness about how to take care of families, hard work, mutual respect and love that has won her the title of LOVE DOCTOR.

She has now worked on two successful albums, DOCTOR NA and LADWAR NA making her the first northern Ugandan female artist to have an album lunch in Uganda. Seen as a diva and role model with roots from eastern Uganda, who grew up in central Uganda and sang in a live band in South Sudan, has inspired several females to take up music as a carrier in northern Uganda.

She has worked with a number of big musical names like LUCKY BOSMIC OTIM, VICTOR J, and LINCOLN. Also with highly rated music producers like NERIO and JOXX among others.

She has also been nominated and has won a number of music award like NUEA WARDS (Northern Uganda entertainment awards) artist of the year 2015, and NUMA (Northern Uganda music awards) female artist of the year 2016, duet of the year 2015

She has now established her music record label MARIA A MANAGEMENT after finishing her music contract at THE NILE REPUBLIC of LUCKY BOSMIC OTIM and has embarked on working on her new music album of 2017.
