Olivia Nakimbowa, born in Nakasongola - Uganda and currently in late 20s by age, is an Afro-Band
musician. She's one of the new popular Ugandan musicians of this generation. Olivia, is very conversant
with LIVE BAND performances and a house hold name in many happenings that hold LIVE BANDS
countrywide but maily in Kampala. Olivia mainly sings in Luganda, some little English and Swahili when
need be.
Musical career
Nakimbowa began her career in her early years as a choir member of the Adventist Church in Uganda
back from the village. Later in 2019 she was inspired into secular music by listening to various musicians
like Juliana Kanyomozi, Catherine Kusasira, Mbilia Bel (DRC) , Whitney Houson, Betty Mpologoma ,
among others. This is when she began doing cover songs in LIVE BAND. In 0ctober 2024 , she released
a Single Kajegere (produced by Brian Beats) which got good receiption then Early November releaed
EMPINGU, produced by Producer Jonah of Clear Audio (Makindye). The song is starting to get some
airplay on various media houses.
