Thomas Tayebwa the Deputy Speaker of Parliament has named a seven-member committee that will summon Persis Namuganza, the State Minister for Lands, Housing, and Urban Development.

Namuganza had dragged the Attorney General to court, seeking 1 billion shillings in damages, in addition to demanding that an Adhoc committee recommendation be squashed because she wasn't given a fair hearing.

When Parliament grilled the Lands Minister on whether action had been taken in regards to the recommendations, she declined to speak, stating that she was not ready.

The State Minister for Lands Persis Namuganza says her opponent in the race for the NRM second National Vice-Chairperson who doubles as Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga bribed NEC members to vote her.
