Price Kiid was born Mukelo Merveille in the DRC on 16/10/1997. At the age of 2 my parents divorced and my dad i and my elder brother moved to Kampala. While in Kampala I used to watch my uncle do live shows with his band. One of the venues if I’m to remember was Sabrina, they would perform at Sabrina every weekend however I can’t remember everything since i was only about 4 years old. Later life became a bit harder for my Dad to afford living with his two sons in the city we moved to a refugee camp in hoima district called Kyangwali before it became Kikube District. At the age of 7 i started performing in the church choir with other kids however it didn’t last because my elder brother was less interested. My musical inspirations started after I finished Primary seven and my Dad bought a Radio, I started listening to mainstream music and fell in love with the music, Listening to people like Gift ov Kaddo, Micheal Ross, Allan Toniks made me pick more interest in Urban RnB and Pop music, so I started listening to Chris Brown and more American Artists, The mixture of all those artists combined definitely shape my sound of today. In S2 I started feeling like performing at school parties but I couldn’t because my elder brother didn’t want me to do music at all, however as soon as my brother graduated senior 4 i was free and I started performing at school parties with my best friend. However it was until i came to the United States that I started taking music serious
