Segmento (Ssekamate Jordan) is a Ugandan gospel musician, song writer evangilical rapper and worshipper especially in his church Shiloh City Church, Mukono Uganda under the pastorship led by Bishop Joshua Kuteesa Godfrey. He is a Bible teacher and preacher of the Gospel of Christ and an interpreter in church
Early life and education
Segmento was born in 1995 in Busabaga, Lugazi being first born of 10 to Mr Joshua Talemwa and Mrs Catherine Talemwa, peasants who pastor a local church in Busabaga, True Light Pentecostal Church. Raised in a financially struggling family, Jordan had his first education in Nansenya primary school but his outstanding performance both academically and musically in the school choir at his tender age won him a place in a town school. He joined Lugazi community school where he completed his primary education
He joined Namilyango College in 2008 for O' and A' level where he was the choir master of the school Choir, "The Seraphs", a students vice president and president of a self founded club Namilyango performing arts (NAPA).
In 2014, Segmento joined Makerere University for a BSc. Human Nutrition and graduated in 2017 with a second upper honours degree
He was nominated in the Viga awards for Upcoming male gospel artist 2017/18 and with one of his songs, Yield nominated as the Best Inspirational song of the year in the same awards attracted quite a great deal of attention and earned him a place on the list of promising young and talented urban gospel artists of Uganda
Later in the same year 2017, Segmento received another nomination and award in the Next Generation Awards with Yield as the Best Inspirational/Encouraging song of the year 2017/18.
