iCON Legacy, born as Katamba Emmanuel on 28th July 2000 in Uganda. He is a Hip Hop and dancehall reggae musician. His other stage names include “The Big Panther” or simply his close friends call him “Principal”, the name Principal is due to his leadership in the iL Gang were he is the first in order of importance or main of the of the Gang. Seriously he is a young rapper who is coming on fire to be one of the best in Uganda if not the best.

iCON Legacy started his young life at Kabowa/Najjanankumbi but later he shifted to Kajjansi/Kitende where he grew up from. During iCON Legacy’s childhood he experienced many things with his mother Katamba Christine Kanayega and it demonstrates his determination to make it as an artist in the music business.

Considered to be shy while off stage, he however transforms into a different person on stage to give the audience more than their money’s worthy.

Education 

He went for primary level education at St. Joseph Pilot School Kabowa, Najjanankumbi Christian School, and lastly Kitende Modern Primary School.

He went for secondary level education at Kitende Secondary School for both O and A levels 

Music Career 

iCON Legacy began his talent at a very early age as a singer in Church Sunday school choirs at Faith Arena Christian church Kabowa and later Jerusalem Glory Christian church Kajjansi where he learnt playing instruments including a Piano and a Guitar. 

He started song writing at secondary level writing a variety but his favorite was Hip Hop and Dancehall reggae. He started recording after secondary level and released his first two audio songs on 16th June 2022 with titles of “Koona” and “Bigu”.  Sent from my iPhone
