Rachel Poole and her husband Justin Poole were chatting on FaceTime when the woman was attacked in her El Paso home.

A deployed soldier listened helplessly on the phone while a fellow Army man brutally stabbed his pregnant wife.

Army Pvt. Justin Pele Poole was serving his country in Southwest Asia when wife Rachel Poole, nine months pregnant with their child, started screaming during a FaceTime chat on Wednesday night.

The El Paso woman was stabbed repeatedly on her face and body. She was beaten, as well, sustaining multiple fractures. But despite the pain, she managed to yell out her attacker’s name.

Corey Bernard Moss, a 19-year-old soldier who was training at Fort Bliss military base.

Thousands of miles away, the distraught husband heard the entire thing. He couldn’t shield Rachel with his body, so he turned to Facebook to try to protect his family.

“If u are seeing this message find out what f-----g hospital my wife is in and tell me the f-----g whereabouts of Corey moss. He f-----g went to my house while I'm deployed and stabbed her ten today [sic],” Justin wrote.

The soldier contacted friends of his who were stationed at Fort Bliss. The base’s police force soon located Moss and turned him over to El Paso police.

The teenage attacker is now holed up in the El Paso sheriff’s jail, facing charges of criminal attempted murder. His bond was set at $60,000.

Rachel, on the other hand, is still hospitalized and in critical condition, according to El Paso’s Det. Mike Baranyay.

Her baby daughter, named Isabella, was later born in the hospital.

"Isabella is born and very beautiful but sick from the medicine keeping Rachel in place so has to be in the hospital for a while now as well," Justin announced on Facebook.

El Paso police are still fleshing out the teen’s motives. Moss was financially in debt to the Pooles. Justin allegedly let the teen borrow a car while he was away on deployment, KFOX14 reports. Moss managed to damage the car and owed the Pooles money for vehicle repairs.

“Typically when someone else owes you money, you go to collect,” Baranyay told the News. “But this is the opposite. Why he resorted to this, I don’t know.”

EL PASO POLICE DEPARTMENT

19-year-old Corey Bernard Moss was charged with criminal attempted murder after attacking Rachel Poole, a pregnant woman, while her husband listened in from overseas.

Moss visited the Poole’s house on Wednesday night to confront the woman about his debt. When he realized Rachel wasn’t home from work yet, he broke in through the back door and hid inside her house, waiting.

The mom-to-be walked inside and immediately started FaceTiming her husband.

Moss reportedly attacked her with a sharp stainless steel knife.

He then fled the scene and allegedly called for a coworker to drive him to Fort Bliss.

Police found the blade in that car.

At home, Rachel called the police and was able to tell them her attacker’s name before she was taken to the hospital.

Fort Bliss released a statement on the incident to KFOX14.

“We pride ourselves on the professionalism of the Soldiers within our ranks. Behavior such as these alleged actions are not representative of the men and women who serve at Fort Bliss. Our immediate concern is for the safety and welfare of the victim. We are monitoring her condition and our thoughts and prayers are with her for a full and quick recovery."

Justin flew back into Texas on Friday, HLN reports, and walked through the scene of the crime.

“I just left my house and saw the pools yes pools of blood she was dragged through. Done,” he wrote.

Fort Bliss spokesperson told HLN that Justin would likely be allowed to stay with his wife, instead of being shipped back overseas to finish his deployment.

It doesn’t appear as if Justin had any plans to leave Rachel’s side.

“P----d off is an understatement,” the husband wrote on Facebook. “I promised to give my life for this freedom not the other way around. I failed her but never again.”
