betPawa have been touring the country handing out protective equipment to help boda boda riders and food market vendors carry out their work safely and comfortably.
Over the course of 8 days in October, betPawa employees visited Kampala, Wakiso, Mpigi, Kalungu, Mukono, Mbarara, Gulu, Mbale, Iganga and Jinja.
In total, they handed out 2,500 items: 1,250 reflector jackets to keep boda boda riders safe in the dark and 1,250 aprons to assist food market vendors with their preparations.
Kawokya Boda boda riders Chairperson Mr. Steven Kabuye said: “As a betPawa customer, I want to thank betPawa for giving back to us as their customers and I really commend them for the Cashout offer.
“Also, as a leader, I want to thank them for this because, as a boda boda rider, having a reflector keeps me safe and protects me from accidents that consume our lives everyday, especially during night time. I advise my brothers in this sector to bet responsibly and for fun, let them not risk all their savings in betting because this is a game of chances.”
Nakawa Market Chairperson Mr. Joseph Mudhasi added: “I want to thank betPawa for this gesture of giving back to my people, especially the ladies who serve food to the people. This will keep them smart and well presentable to their customers during busy hours.
“I also advise my people to bet responsibly. If you can’t handle betting any more, please stop it, don’t push.”
This initiative was part of betPawa’s ongoing mission to make a difference to communities throughout Uganda and use their presence to highlight the importance of betting responsibly.
