Last week on 30th November, pencil thin Malaika Nyanzi resigned from her job as the morning show host on Urban TV. It was a shock to many. It came at a time when no one expected it but according to her she says she had planned her exit way back
“I had planned to quit very long time ago. My bosses had a lot of unfulfilled promises. The years I spent with urban I can’t trade them with anything because I gave it all. My journey I can really say it began with Urban TV. But I was surprised as to how they chose to treat like the way they did in the end. We talked about my new contract and we seemed we had understood each other. The last I heard from the administration was that they won’t be able to renew my contract. That if I won’t accept their terms I can leave. They will get another person. It was a sad story but I will move on, one thing I am sure, they will never get another Malaika and I doubt if Urban TV will still stand for the next five months. I know for a matter of fact” Malaika ranted
