Body of Ugandan educationist Mzee Lawrence Mukiibi has arrived at Rubaga Cathedral for final prayers, set to be led by His Eminence Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala.
The academician and proprietor of St. Lawrence schools and University passed on at Norvik hospital, Kampala on Sunday morning.
A requiem mass led by His Eminence Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala will be held today Wednesday to pray for his soul.
Chairperson of the burial organizing committee and state minister for primary education Rosemary Seninde recently said the late had requested for an all-white themed burial ceremony and celebrations instead of mourning.
Mr. Mukiibi’s body will later be taken to his ancestral home in Katende Village, Mpigi district for a burial at 2pm on Friday.
He had recently been involved in a car accident from Masaka entering his school gate when a speeding double cabin rammed into his car.
