Newly elected Member of Parliament for Kyadondo East, the singer turned politician, Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine graced the National Assembly on Wednesday afternoon for the first time since swearing in on 11th July.
After his first sitting, Bobi Wine shared his experience. He suggested that legislators should be given a chance to debate issues in the local dialects rather than doing too much constitutional jargon which he termed as colonial.
"Man, I entered the building and it's so huge with many new faces. Some MPs have big bellies, I have been seeing some on TV and I am not so acquainted to the language used," Bobi Wine said.
Bobi Wine also added that he is going to be silent during these first settings as he learns a few things before he can freely debate and articulate issues of his people of Kyadondo East
