The South African acclaimed designer, David Tlale was seen exchanging bitter words with Mai Atafo’s personal assistant at the backstage of Abryanz Style and Fashion awards on Friday at Kampala Serena Hotel. Nigerian fashion designer, Mai Atafo and Tlale were showcasing their designers at the event.
Most attendees praised Atafo’s designs on stage, putting him ahead of Tlale. And this did not go well with Tlale. Tlale was not happy with Atafo’s performance and he started picking a fight with Atafo’s personal assistant.
The assistant, whose name is yet to be identified, called Tlale a selfish, and jealous man. And in reiteration, Tlale called the assistant a Lagos prostitute.
This nearly escalated to a physical fight, but other designers at the backstage intervened.
