Singer Angella Katatumba has slammed fellow singer Bruno K for publicly soiling the image of Black Market Records boss, Cedric Singleton.
It’s not a secret that Bruno K, quit Black Market, a label Angella is signed to. Following his departure, Bruno K accused the label of cheating him by not paying him his share of the money collected online and also claiming rights to his new song, 'Nipe Love'. Bruno K described the Black Market Records boss as a quack promoter and called on fellow artists not to work with him.
In the defense of the label, Angella Katatumba has described his words as baseless and that they are only aimed at spoiling the name of the label.
She says Bruno K should have taken time to understand the contract he signed.
“What I know is that he signed an exclusive contract for five years with BMR. And, also Singleton is a businessman. He signs and invests in videos and audios and when the money comes back, say if the song is a hit, as an investor he recoups his first. Then whatever you agreed on in your contract, you get a percentage from the profits,” she explained.
According to her, Bruno K wants quick returns yet things don’t work like that.
