"Mama Yakuza" hitmaker Chosen Becky was blessed with a second child in May 2020.
She noted in an interview that having a child during the lockdown was an eye-opener for other musicians to get pregnant.
“I know they can’t say, but people like Vinka and Grace Khan were inspired by me. You see, most female musicians thought that you fade away when you take the motherhood route. I showed them that it was a lie, I gave birth and continued to release hits. I gave them the courage to drop tots,” Chozen Becky claimed during a recent media interview.
She said fans started to love her more when she publicly came out and refused to hide her pregnancy.
“People started to look at me as a responsible person. I got more bookings to sing at weddings after having a child. Many women I meet thank me for making me proud,” she added.
Many female musicians shy away from becoming mothers, but Chozen Becky says it doesn’t affect the career.
