Edwin Katamba alias Mc Kats is one of the prominent Ugandans who have come out to reveal their HIV status.
The NBS After 5 presenter disclosed that he was HIV positive over two years ago.
He has since been involved in drives to end stigma among people living with HIV.
While speaking at an event recently, Mc Kats narrated that he was tired of hiding that he was sick. He wanted to ease the burden of leaving in denial.
"I have been sick and taking my ARVs for 9 years. When I revealed my status, I was simply tired of hiding, I wanted people to know my story," he said.
Mc Kats started the Mc Kats Foundation to empower people living with HIV/AIDS and also sensitize those that lack knowledge of living a positive life.
