Musician Joseph Mayanja, aka Chameleon, the elder brother of Weasel, has joined him in demanding payment from events organizer Norbert Events.
Chameleon explained that Weasel, like any other artist, deserves to be paid after performing. He says Norbert, despite being a friend of the Mayanja family, should not use that as an excuse to withhold Weasel's payment.
"I warned Weasel when he first signed the agreement with Norbert and told him, 'You are working with crooks.' He must be paid because he worked, he performed; it was a business deal before any relationship," Chameleon said while performing at a local hangout.
Chameleon acknowledged that Weasel might have gone overboard but insisted that he deserves payment for his efforts and time.
He also noted that people are quick to blame the Mayanja family, forgetting that they are human too.
"Maybe you misbehaved, but that's your nature. Can we focus on business? People are always blaming the Mayanja family, but we are not supermen; we are not immortal. We are here to do business."
