Eddy Kenzo, one of Uganda’s most criticized artists, has faced backlash from some musicians, media figures, and fans.

Despite his recent appointment as Senior Presidential Advisor on Creative Arts, he has received criticism from artists like Daddy Andre, King Saha, and Big Eye.

The Big Talent boss, however, says he’s unfazed by the criticism and remains focused on his work.

“People may not understand me, which is fine. I don’t mind being judged; I’m just being myself. Many criticize me because I lack formal education, forgetting my achievements and daily contributions. Regardless, I’m doing my job,” he said in a television interview.

Kenzo’s journey from the ghetto to global fame and now to a senior advisory role is a reminder to youths and others to persevere in pursuing their dreams.
