Singer Catherine Kusasira is buzzing with excitement as she prepares for her concert this Friday, January 10th, at the Sheraton Hotel in Kampala. And she has some big news: President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni himself will be attending!
Kusasira, who also serves as a presidential advisor, shared that the President accepted her invitation as a gesture of his support for Ugandan music and its important role in the country's economy.
"President Museveni is the chief guest," Kusasira proudly announced in a recent TV interview. "He agreed to grace the concert, and we'll also have many other distinguished guests from both the central government and Mengo [the Buganda Kingdom's government]. I urge all my supporters to come out in large numbers!"
Kusasira is keen to emphasize that the concert is all about the music and celebration, not politics.
This isn't the first time President Museveni has shown his support for Kusasira. He also attended her last major concert back on September 20, 2019, at the Serena Hotel in Kampala.
