MC Kats, a well-known media personality and emcee, has learned to tune out the hurtful comments about his HIV status that circulate on social media.

He acknowledges that people make these remarks with the intention to hurt, but emphasizes that HIV is simply a part of his life now, and he's moved past letting it affect him.

Two years ago, MC Kats publicly shared his HIV status, a revelation that initially caused him significant mental distress. While he navigated this personal challenge, things became even more difficult when his children and their mothers were drawn into the negativity. He'd always tried to shield his family from this kind of scrutiny.

Now, MC Kats says he's healed from that trauma and is no longer bothered by the opinions of others. His focus has shifted to being a good father and providing the best possible life for his children.

In his own words, addressing those who continue to make insensitive jokes:

"You all think that this 'I have HIV/AIDS' still bothers me. Let me tell you, I was down and wanted to kill myself, so how much worse can you make me feel when I personally got out of that dark place? You joke too much." This shows just how far he's come in his journey.
