Tycoon Emmanuel Lwasa has revealed his desire to convert to Islam, saying he is planning to do so.
The Masaka tycoon explained that Islam is a good religion and believes everyone should consider worshipping Allah.
"I want to make Shahada, and I am almost a Muslim. I will make the decision very soon because it's a good religion, and I believe in its faith," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
The Masaka tycoon said that Jajja Kassim Nakibige inspired his love for Islam, and he is the one person he wants to introduce him to the faith.
"I request the head of Muslims, Jajja Kassim Nakibige, to help me and convert me to Islam. He is the man who brought Islam close to me, and I want to convert in front of him," he said.
Lwasa says he has already given up alcohol and other things considered undesirable in Islam and is ready to convert.
"I gave up alcohol a long time ago, and I have gone months without it. I am growing into a different person," he explained.
