Musician Edirisa Musuuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, recently revealed his willingness to perform at any political event, including those held by the National Unity Platform (NUP), if hired.
However, the singer expressed doubt, suggesting that the leading opposition party cannot afford his services.
In an interview with NBS Television, Eddy Kenzo explained that his absence from NUP events is likely due to his high performance fee, which they may not be able to meet.
"I can perform anywhere. I haven't been there because maybe they can't afford to pay for my services," he explained.
The president of the Uganda National Musicians Federation advised artists to continue performing at political events and rallies if booked, and not to shy away from accepting payment from politicians for the benefit of their careers.
