Alien Skin's highly anticipated concert has found a new home! After a weekend of uncertainty, renowned events promoter Nobat Events has secured Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala as the venue.
Over the weekend, the concert faced a major setback when Hotel Africana management declined to host the event. According to Alien Skin, the hotel cited concerns about overcrowding, potential property damage, and security.
But the show will go on! Nobat Events announced today that they have successfully booked Lugogo Cricket Oval. A formal letter from the National Council of Sports (NCS) confirms the venue's availability, contingent upon Alien Skin's management fulfilling certain guidelines.
These guidelines include a booking fee of Ugx 15 million, payable in full to confirm the reservation. The singer's team is also required to obtain police clearance, ensure adequate event security, keep charcoal stoves away from the cricket green, and secure all necessary permits from relevant authorities.
Alien Skin's concert is scheduled for February 21, 2025, at Lugogo Cricket Oval, and preparations are already underway.
