The family of a six year old child, Angel Aherezais in agony after kidnappers who are holding her demanded a ransom of 120M in order to release girl.
The dilemma for Judith Asiimwe, Ahereza’s mother started when the top class pupil was kidnapped by a lady who offered her cake on her way to school. The incident happened on July 16 2018, in Rubanda district. She was a pupil at Kibuzigyeprimary school in Bubaare Sub County.
According to Ahereza’s grandfather, a one Joseph Besigye, he received a call from kidnappers last week, demanding 180 million shillings, but he bargained until it was brought down to 120m.
He however is not able to raise such an amount of money to give to the ruthless people that claim to be holding the child in Bombo, Kampala.
“They send messages on an africell number, when I call back, it never goes through. We are in touch with police at the main head offices but haven’t received any productive response” Mr. Besigye said.
However, Tai Ramadhan the Rubanda district police commander says they are following up on the matter.
