Officers at Entebbe Police Station are investigating the murder of Ssemugenyi Hakim 25, a fisherman.
Ssemugenyi’s murder was reported to police by the LCI chairperson of Kava-Ennyanja Island in Bussi Sub County Wakiso District.
Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy PRO KMP says that the deceased was last seen alive on the February 25, 2021 while fishing with his friends.
However, his body was found at Ranoma Landing site on Kava-Ennyanja Island on Sunday February 28, 2021.
Detectives and scene of crime officers visited the scene and the body of the deceased was found tied with a rope on heavy stone and floating on the water.
Owoyesigyire says they have so far intensified investigations into the incident and seven suspects have been arrested to help in the investigations. The seven people were the last people seen with the deceased on the day he disappeared. Investigations into the matter are still on.
