The Police at Entebbe has arrested two suspects following the Murder of Onyait Simon a three-year-old child and resident of Nalugala Mawugulu zone, Katabi Town Council in Wakiso District.
The child’s mother Akello Anna Kevin alleges that she left her child Onyait with the stepfather Onyango Francis at his work on Wednesday 29/06/2022.
However, upon returning home in the evening, the child was missing. A search ensued by the area local authorities together with the resident and the body of Onyait was found in the unfinished building in one of the rooms occupied by one Kasawuli.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire the Deputy Spokesperson of KMP, the Police were informed and responded to the scene where they found the deceased’s body with two stab wounds. They also recovered Kasawuli's clothes with blood stains. The motive of the murder is still unknown.
The Police have now arrested the child’s Stepfather Onyango Francis and Kasawuli to help aid in the ongoing investigations. The body has been conveyed to city mortuary Mulago for Postmortem.
