The body of a Boda Boda rider who went missing in Kikuube for a week has been found.
The deceased is Jonathan Alinaitwe 31, who was based at Ikoba Boda Boda stage in Bubogo parish in Kabwoya sub-county. He was reportedly hired by unknown people from his stage on Thursday and had not been seen since.
The disappearance of Alinaitwe caused tension among his fellow riders who started tracing for him in vain, forcing them to report the matter at Kabwoya Police Post.
According to Vincent Byaruhanga the area LCI Chairperson Bubogo Parish, the residents were shocked, prompting them to start searching for him in vain.
However, his body was later discovered on Tuesday, dumped in a nearby bush. The body had injuries on the neck and chest.
The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson Julius Hakiza says that investigations have commenced, adding that the assailants also fled with Alinaitwe’s motorcycle.
