The police of Rukiga are hunting for unknown assailants who assaulted a 20-year-old man to death.
The deceased is James Kamugisha a resident of Kihindi cell, Nyakabungo parish, Muhanga TC in Rukiga district.
ASP Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional spokesperson says that the incident happened on Wednesday 17/8/2022.
The deceased was found lying unconscious on the roadside at 0200hrs by one Tayebwa Justine who immediately informed the victim's parents.
They also rushed to the scene and mobilized transport to rush him for medical attention at Kabale hospital. Unfortunately, he died before reaching there and they returned the body home.
Maate says a report was made at Bukinda police station and the in-charge informed Rukiga Cps to respond.
“Scene was visited, processed, postmortem was done and some arrests made to aid in investigations,” says Maate.
