POLICE and officials of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) today evening engaged in running battles with caretakers of South African based business man Ivan Ssemwanga with illegal water connections on their premises.
The incident took place at Ivan’s home in Muyenga Kampala.
The disconnection exercise began in the afternoon hours and most of the caretakers took to their heels as they saw the officials confronting them.
“We’re earthing an illegal water connection/meter bypass at this posh house in Muyenga. Customers who steal water deny many deserving customers a right to safe clean water,” NWSC wrote on Facebook.
