Events unfolding about the struggling public broadcaster UBC indicate that their sister TV, UBC Magic One might have survived extinction from the industry.
The latest reaching our gossip desks indicate Buddies Production CEO, Junior Dave Kazoora a.k.a JK, has been hired a new manager of UBC Magic One.
According to sources, JK’s appointment was endorsed by the first lady, Janet Museveni with the help of his wife.
“Through the wife, the deal went through. She is well connected to Janet. Actually Janet endorsed the deal. He is starting office on Monday next week”, a close source to the family told Howwe.
Alternative sources have told Howwe, through his company Buddies Production, JK will now be in charge of editorial, advertising and production. Further claims indicate, Kazoora has been given a period of 9 months to turn UBC TV one of the top stations.
“He’s been given 9 months but if he falls short of expectations, the contract will be terminated. This is a mutual agreement between both parties,” the source revealed.
