It was the first Unplugged session of its kind featuring Nutty Neithan and Latinum – two young dancehall artist on the same stage. The two stars proved that they were more than capable of delivering a live performance.
Latinum, who was clad in a red jump suit, started off the show with “Amanya Gange.” The live-band accompaniment set just the right tone with the eager fans.
The young artist who completed S.6 last year continued to perform songs like “Man Away, ” “Ova Kampala,” “Baabo” and more before he closed his segment and handed things over to Nutty Neithan.
When Nutty Neithan stepped on stage, the crowd had already loosened up and was ready to have fun.
The rough-voiced star who was still wearing his trademark blue-tinted hair performed several of his hits like “Binkubye,” “Follow My rules,” “Emu Temala” as he continued to raise the temple and mood of the crowd.
When he reached “What Did You Do,” a collabo with Fille, the excited crowd sang through the entire song, word for word.
In the end Nutty Neithan had to wrestle control of the show before putting final touches and bowing out.
Next Wednesday, which will be the last Wednesday of February, Afrigo Band will visit Unplugged stage again. As usual, you can expect Ugandans to flock Liquid Silk to dance to classic oldies.
