WBS TV ceased to operate effective December 14, 2016 after it failed to clear a tax debt of 7 billions. It was later sold to to Kwese Sports.

The latest info indicates that the TV will resume its operations very soon.

This was after they advertised a number of jobs which included, Technical Directors (02), Master control room operators (03), Audio Operators (03), Camera Studio Operators (09), Floor Managers (03), Storage Manager, Producers (11) and Assistant Producers (12). Others are Script Writers (11), TV journalists (10), Editors and Assistant Editors (31), Makeup artists and Hairstylists (02). The advert also includes Clothes Stylists (02), Eng. Operators (12), Graphic Designer, Video Editors (14), IT Manager, Hosts (12) and Live Video/Graphic Operator (03).

WBS TV’s attempt to capture a percentage in the market space might take them some time  because of the competing players already operating in the industry.
