Maureen Nantume, a celebrated band singer with over fifteen years in the industry, has voiced her reluctance for her children to venture into Uganda's music scene.
Citing a contentious environment filled with unscrupulous individuals, Nantume is wary of subjecting her kids to the struggles she herself has endured.
Expressing her reservations, she stated,
"I am not keen on my children becoming musicians. In fact, I dissuaded Whitney from pursuing a music career after she initially showed interest. I pray daily that they are shielded from the challenges of this industry."
Her concerns stem from a desire to spare her children the hurdles she has faced.
