Musician Bebe Cool has revealed why he no longer works with local promoters. He says that he was tired of being disrespected and underpaid.
"I opted to begin organizing my own shows due to the disrespect shown by event organizers and promoters," he said in an interview. "They were offering us meager payments while spending exorbitant amounts on foreign artists. I couldn't tolerate it, so I decided to take charge, and I'm pleased with the results."
Bebe Cool's decision to organize his own shows has been successful. He has been able to negotiate better deals for himself and his fellow musicians.
Relatedly, Bebe Cool recounted an instance where music critic Eddie Ssendi associated his brand with a lower valuation and favored Jose Chameleone as the only artist deserving a significant fee.
